“KANNAWIDAN’

          Every year we celebrate KANNAWIDAN FESTIVAL. It is celebrated after VIGAN TOWN FIESTA. This year 2014 kannawidan festival celebrated on JAN. 30, 2014. The opening of kannawidan. It is held at the Quirino stadium. Different products from different places here in Ilocos Sur are displayed there and we can avail for it if we want some of them. There are delicious foods and beautiful furnitures and plants on their own town. Like fruits, vegetables , plants , clothes and  what we call  “ABEL ILOCO” Or the “HABING ILOCO”. Through this festival we can proudly tell to everyone that we are proud to be ILOCANO. Aside from different display, we have also stall that sell snacks and refreshment or even some Ilocano dishes. We can also enjoy going there because of some rides , like in the carnival that we have this year. At right one of the attraction so that we also want to visit there is some of the celebrity  guest from different television station, They have a program held at the venue.

Not only our fellow Ilocano visit or attend kannawidan festival but also some guest or tourist, local and foreigner who went there.  We celebrate the kannawidan festival in honor of our town Ilocos Sur and at the same time we enjoy some happy moments during the festival.

“Changes start with ME”

There is no permanent in this world. Everyone and Everything changes. If we want to be a better person and to fulfill our dreams we must start changing to be a better person . It start to oneself, to make it work. I should have a self discipline because it can help me to do the changes I want to make my life better. I must focus on what I want to do and what things or what attitude I want to change in myself. Planning on what to do can also help me in order to make things right. We better start changing by our self if we want changes on what happening in our life.

“NEW YEAR, NEW ME”

      

Starting a year with  a New Year resolution. Most of us aim to change, change for the better. This year being a senior student I want to start changing myself by being more responsible in my studies and other thing. I know that I will face more challenges to be a college student in this coming school year. I will concentrate more on my studies to fulfill my dreams in life.

 ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS

 Christmas is the day when Jesus was born. Many people choose to celebrate it in expensive way like many decoration, lots of gifts, delicious food and etc.  But if we try to think which is the most important thing that we must do is celebrating  Christmas, we can think much better way to do it.

We choose to celebrate Christmas with our family and love ones. We celebrated it in a very simple way. Attending mass and having the simplest  noche buena. I think the true essence of Christmas is having love in our heart.  If we love each other, there will be unity and peace in our country. We can help one another, in times of need and calamity. We can always lend our hands to help others. Having Faith in God always guide us in a right way to his kingdom.

                        CLIMATE CHANGE

Climate change is a significant and lasting change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns over periods ranging from decades to millions of years. This layer acts like a blanket, keeping the earth warm and shielding it from the cold of universe. This is commonly referred to as the greenhouse effect. Because of this the layer of greenhouse gas is getting thicker, which is in turn making the Earth warmer. Thus the ongoing unlimited burning of fossil fuels is the cause of climate change. The effect, it will have high confidence that global temperatures will continue to rise for decades to come, largely due to greenhouse gasses produced by human activities.

" Equal rights, equal opportunity"

Every person has their equal rights and equal opportunity. In the real sense of our law there is no rich or poor no one is above the law. Men or women young or old have their equal rights and opportunity. We are all entitled in our rights as a citizen  of this country. We are also entitled in equal opportunity.  It only depend in a person how he or she will use this opportunity. If you are industrious and hard working you have a better chance to have more opportunity to be successful. It is  up to one person on how will he or she use his or her rights and opportunity in his or her life.

"Going Global Progress through English Language

Communication is very important   in order to deal with others. We can communicate through the use of  language. English is our International Language. Ever since we begin  going to school one of our subject that we need to study  is the English subject. It is very important that we have a lot of knowledge about this subject. We need this language to communicate not only to our fellow Filipino but also to other race.  Especially now a days many of our fellow Filipino are going abroad to work there, some are doing business in foreign country. Most of country, including our country practice using English language as their means of communication.

Through English language we can do better not only here in our country but also in other country.  We can achieve success and be progressive not only here but also all over the world.
